Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. Shine for Parkinson's is a non-profit organization working tirelessly to raise awareness about this condition, support individuals impacted by Parkinson's, and raise essential funds for research and treatment.

One key way Shine for Parkinson's achieves its goals is through hosting fundraising events. These events not only help generate funds for the organization but also serve as opportunities to educate the public about Parkinson's and build a sense of community among individuals affected by the disease. Our primary event is at Farmer's Market every Saturday where the founders will be selling out treats and trinkets for those interested in donating. Remember, every penny counts! These events bring people together in a spirit of solidarity and support, showcasing the strength and resilience of the Parkinson's community. Our treats include cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and more, which switch every week. We have customized Shine for Parkinson's utensils and spin the wheel activity to win a trinket for free! We also encourage signing a petition to promote Parkinson's awareness. By participating in or donating to these fundraising events, individuals can make a tangible difference in the lives of those with Parkinson's. The funds are raised to support vital research initiatives, provide access to specialized care and resources, and promote public awareness and education about the disease. In addition to fundraising events, Shine for Parkinson's offers support services for individuals affected by Parkinson's, including support groups, educational resources, and a supportive online community (check the other posts for more info). The organization's website is a hub for valuable information and resources, helping individuals access the tools and support they need to navigate life with Parkinson's. By supporting Shine for Parkinson's and participating in its fundraising events, you are contributing to a cause dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals living with Parkinson's. Together, we can shine a light on Parkinson's and work towards a future where effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure are within reach.
